Description
This training focused on the recognition, classification, diagnosis, prevention, management, and outcomes of Acute Kidney Injury (AKI). Participants were introduced to AKI definitions and diagnostic criteria (RIFLE, AKIN, and KDIGO), epidemiology, causes of AKI, clinical evaluation, biomarkers, urine sediment analysis, preventive strategies, complications, indications for dialysis, dialysis modalities, and long-term patient follow-up. The session emphasized early diagnosis, prevention of kidney injury, supportive care, and improving patient outcomes through timely intervention.
